Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a seasoned Senior Scheduler to prepare and coordinate the integrated master plan and schedule for major naval programs. You will ensure horizontal and vertical integration across finance, engineering, and manufacturing while tracking progress and resolving critical path conflicts.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of exempt experience or a Master’s with 4 years plus equivalent qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; Associate's Degree or other 2-year program with 2 years relevant exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt; Military Paygrade E-5 or above; High School/GED with 4 years combined Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military experience or 8 years when non-exempt.
• PMI-SP certification and prior exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule.
• Ensures major projects and program schedules are integrated across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing and quality.
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
• Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management to gauge progress and focus on critical areas.
