Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a skilled Scheduler to prepare and coordinate the integrated master plan and schedule, ensuring alignment across finance, engineering, material, and manufacturing. You will monitor progress, perform risk analysis, and resolve critical path conflicts to keep programs on track.

Responsibilities include using Gantt, PERT, and earned value management to gauge performance and drive timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet program objectives.
• Ensures major projects and program schedules are integrated across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing and quality.
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
• Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management to gauge progress and identify variances.
