Job summary

NAVAIR in Arlington, VA seeks a Logistics/ILS specialist to develop and review program documentation, assess supportability and maintainability, and lead the Integrated Logistics Support Team.

The role involves cost analyses, maintenance concept development, and evaluating logistics impacts of Engineering Change Proposals throughout all life cycle phases, with a closing date 11/06/2026 and a salary range of $102,415–$158,322 per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review program technical and mission documentation (e.g., Operational Requirements, Mission Element Need Statement, Decision Coordinating Paper, Program Master Plan, Program Management Plans).
• Participate in design of new systems by assessing supportability and maintainability of proposed systems and technology.
• Develop and implement support and maintenance concepts and the maintainability requirements for assigned systems.
• Organize and chair the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management Team (ILSMT).
• Perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems.
• Review and justify requirements for new support facilities and plans the activation of system support sites.
• Review and approve changes to logistics plans, including Maintenance Plans.
• Review and assess the logistics impact of ECPs and recommend approval/disapproval.
• Review and approve program price-outs and budget sub-missions from logistics element managers during all life cycle phases.
