Description:
Elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers are responsible for utilizing research-based second language acquisition strategies to teach English Learners in grades K-5 in grade-level classrooms in a co-teaching or standalone model. The Integrated Learning Program (ILP) is a special education classroom responsible for the programming and implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) services for students with a diagnosis of Autism in a small group setting. The ILP ESL Teacher will work collaboratively with ILP teachers, ancillary services providers and paraprofessionals to improve performance of students using evidence-based practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn. The candidate will have a flexible ESL schedule that adapts to the grade level needs of the student based on the IEP servicing schedule. Teachers should be well versed in cultural responsiveness and strategies to differentiate for a diverse population of ELs with Disabilities (dually identified students).

Salary for this position will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Everett School Committee and the Everett Teachers Association. SY 26-27. Pay Range - $65,178 - $125,654.
