Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Integrated Systems Service Technician to install, test, and service fire alarm, intrusion, CCTV, and access control systems.

You will troubleshoot, program multiple system types, work with blueprints, and interact with clients to resolve issues. Qualifications

• Two to three years of servicing experience on fire alarm or security systems.
• Proficient at following instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet service schedules and travel as needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and repairs security, camera, access control, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and false alarms.
• Program multiple types of systems and test for proper operation.
• Consults with client on system issues; provides recommendations for repair.
• Uses blueprints to determine proper systems to install/service.
• Runs wiring and circuits, installs hardware, and attaches electrical wires.
• Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and electrical wiring; make adjustments and repairs.
• Ensures systems comply with NEC and NFPA fire codes.
• Be on call as required.
• Explain and demonstrate system function to end users.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and support for inspection forms.
