Job summary

MASS MoCA seeks a full-time Communications Coordinator to join the Communications & Content Department. The role supports external communications across social media, marketing campaigns and PR, as well as internal project management and departmental reporting.

Responsibilities include creating social content, editing copy, maintaining the editorial style guide, and coordinating digital communications alongside internal teams. The position offers on-site work in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for social media channels and pull analytic performance reports
• Edit copy provided by programming teams to be consistent with editorial style guide for website, social media and other materials
• Maintain editorial style guide
• Assist with social media at events and other posting needs to support MASS MoCA’s strategy
• Assist with development and distribution of digital communications including email marketing and submitting events to online calendars
• Develop and maintain cross-promotional relationships
• Assist with local press coordination and maintaining press archive and press room
• Engage in on-brand copywriting and manage marketing/PR admin responsibilities
• Maintain press contact database and press lists
• Assist with insertion orders and execution for marketing campaigns
• Coordinate with designers to update lobby/gallery signage
• Coordinate incoming requests and on-time delivery of ads, collateral, ephemera
• Maintain workflow in Asana and keep projects current
• Represent the museum at local community events
