Terros Health is hiring a Medical Assistant at our 27th Avenue Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. This limited-term employment lasts 90 days and offers daytime shifts in a primarily in-office setting.

The role requires Medical Assistant certification, NextGen EMR experience preferred, and strong communication. Spanish or other language differential pay is available. Schedule options include 4-10s or 5-8s.

Formación

• Medical Assistant Diploma and/or Certificate required.
• EMR experience: NextGen preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
• Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for one within 7 working days of role.
• Must pass a Drug Screen and TB Test.
• This role is on-site and non-driving.

Responsabilidades

• Provides ongoing medical assistant services to patients to establish and reach treatment goals.
• Prepares patients for examinations, takes histories, assists physician during examinations.
• Coordinates client information with behavioral health and other specialty care offices.
• Follows up on pharmacy, clients, staff, and other parties by phone and coordinates responses with medical staff.
• Maintains knowledge and coordination of services for this position.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, greets patients, and may perform clerical duties.
• Updates patient files and arranges tests and hospital admissions.
• Follows up on missed appointments to re-engage patients.
