Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Medical Assistant for a 90-day limited-term position at the 27th Avenue Health Center. The role supports integrated primary care and on-site behavioral health services, delivering patient care and clerical support.

Experience in primary care is a plus, and NextGen experience is a plus. The compensation ranges from $17.87 to $21+ per hour, with an additional language differential pay for Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili or ASL.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing medical assistant services to patients to establish and reach treatment goals.
• Prepares patients for examinations, takes histories, assists physician during exams.
• Coordinates client information with behavioral health and other specialty care offices.
• Follows up on pharmacy, clients, staff and related phone calls and coordinates responses.
• Updates patient files, schedules tests, and arranges hospital admissions.
• Greets patients, answers phones, schedules appointments, and may handle clerical duties.
