Job summary

The University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for 1 full-time Postdoctoral Fellow in Primary Care Behavioral Health for a fellowship beginning September 2027. Fellows provide evidence-based behavioral health services within integrated, interprofessional care teams, and work toward leadership roles in primary care and behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Hold a PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program.
• Have completed an APA-, APPIC-, or CAPPIC-approved internship.
• Have the doctoral degree conferred by the fellowship start date in September 2027.
• Be eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Minnesota.
• Have experience providing psychotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based behavioral health services as part of integrated care teams.
• Engage in medical education and teaching within the residency program.
• Coach residents in patient-centered communication and behavioral health interventions.
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and provide didactic instruction.
• Support residents in assessment and management of mental health concerns in primary care.

Education

Internship (APA-, APPIC-, or CAPPIC-approved)

Doctoral degree conferred by Sept 2027

Licensed to practice psychology in Minnesota (eligible)
