Job summary

George Mason University is seeking an Intake and Supportive Measures Specialist to support compliance with Title IX, Title VI and VII, and civil rights laws. The role conducts Information Sessions, outreach to students, faculty, and staff, and coordinates supportive measures within the Office of Access, Compliance, and Community (OACC), using Guardian for case management.

Responsibilities include documenting session notes, referring individuals to partner offices, and assisting with pregnancy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience illustrating aptitude for working with various populations.
  • Master's degree preferred in counseling, social work, education, psychology, or related field; experience with trauma-informed approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Outreach and Information Sessions with diverse stakeholders (students, faculty, staff).
  • Provide information on resources, supportive measures, and resolution options within OACC.
  • Document and memorialize notes from Information Sessions; maintain accurate case notes and files.
  • Refer individuals to other offices (HR, Student Conduct, etc.) when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff to provide academic support measures.
  • Maintain records of supportive measures (e.g., No Contact Orders).
  • Assist with pregnancy and parenting Information Sessions and academic adjustments.
  • Complete other duties to support OACC's mission.
