Job summary

Interim Healthcare of East TN in Morristown, TN seeks an Intake Specialist to guide patients from referral to admission. You will coordinate with physicians, case managers, and families to ensure all required documentation is obtained for a successful admission.

You will promote care/services in the community and support a team of healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and timely processing in a locally owned agency backed by a large US healthcare company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum one year of office experience in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Receive referrals via fax, telephone, or EMR systems and carry the patient from referral to admission.
• Interact with physicians, case managers, and family members to ensure all required documentation and information is obtained for a successful admission.
• Communicate with marketing team to help promote care/services to prospective patients and referral sources.
• Plan activities and initiate contact in the community to enhance the visibility of the company and generate an increasing customer base.

We are looking for a results oriented, driven individual to join our growing team!

What will I do as an Intake Specialist?
