The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is seeking a full-time Intake Specialist for the Maternal Child & Health Division. The position is a 37.5-hour work week located in Champaign, IL, offering a starting salary of $32,592 and a range to $43,999.

Responsibilities include verifying program eligibility, initiating client visits, assisting with WIC applications and scheduling, and EMR proficiency. Bilingual Spanish and/or French are highly desirable; travel not required.

Intake Specialist

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is seeking a full-time (37.5-hour a week) Intake Specialist for the Maternal Child & Health Division.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying program eligibility and function in clinic flow by initiating client visits.


• Assisting with WIC applications, benefit troubleshooting, client scheduling and WIC card issuance.


• Previous electronic medical records (EMR) experience is highly desirable

Requirements:

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent,


• One (1) year of experience in a customer service environment


• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment


• Must have excellent phone etiquette, customer service, data entry, organizational, and communication skills


• Bilingual Spanish and/or French highly desirable

The expected annual starting salary is $32,592 ($16.71 per hour). Full annual salary range for a Class 2 Intake Specialist is $32,592 - $43,999 for a 37.5 -hour week.
