Housing Works is seeking an Intake Specialist to screen patients for insurance eligibility and enrollment, including NYS Market Place, and to assist with Medicaid HMO enrollment. The role supports Good Faith Estimates, intake processing, and care coordination within a fast-paced primary care setting.
The candidate should have strong HIV/AIDS knowledge, case management experience, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a fully onsite role.
Compensation Range: $18/hr - $20/hr commensurate with experience

Intake Specialist will be responsible for the screening of patients including insurance eligibility and verification, new patient registration, ensure daily sliding fee scale applications for uninsured patients are complete and uploaded into Electronic Medical Record, (EMR), issuing Good Faith Estimates for patient not wanting to use their insurance or self-pay, and assisting the Patient Care Coordinator with medical case management services for all Primary Care patients.
