Job summary

Allegheny County is seeking an Intake Specialist to determine system eligibility and provide information about the ODS system and community supports to individuals and families. The role includes assessing needs, resource mapping, and coordinating with Supports Coordination Organizations.

The position involves travel to homes or community sites, flexible hours, and potential countywide travel. A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field and 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field plus 1-year experience with individuals/families in ID/autism/developmental disability/medically complex conditions.
• Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of county/state/provider delivery systems and DHS services is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource triaging needs for individuals/families with multiple service needs.
• Utilize resources and assist in locating new resources for clients.
• Enter data into the ODS Intake and Registration Application and keep records updated.
