Job summary

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Intake Nurse/Social Worker for a 16-week temporary assignment on 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7:30am). Responsibilities include responding to service requests, assessing clinical appropriateness, coordinating with physicians, and assisting clients, families and referral sources with treatment options and admission procedures.

Premium pay is $60/hour; temporary role excludes benefit programs.

Qualifications

• RN, LLMSW, or LMSW license required in Michigan.
• Previous psychiatric care experience preferred.
• Previous intake experience preferred.

This position supports our team as a Temporary Assignment for 16 weeks on 12 hour shifts, with the possibility of extension for up to 6 months. As a temporary position this is not eligible for our benefit programs, because of this, we offer a premium pay rate of $60/hour. Current employees of UHS are not eligible for this program.

Description

The Intake staff responds to requests for services and determines clinical appropriateness of each request. Information is normally obtained through initial clinical phone information, followed by clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and coordinates with the physician regarding patient care needs. The Intake staff will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. They also provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Hours

Full Time, 7pm to 7:30am, every other weekend rotation
