Job summary

Cedar Creek Hospital in Michigan seeks an Intake Nurse/Social Worker for a 16-week temporary assignment on 12-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am) with every other weekend rotation. It offers premium pay of $60/hour and is not eligible for standard benefit programs.

The Intake staff assess service requests, determine clinical appropriateness, coordinate with the physician, and relay information to clients, families and referral sources about treatment options, insurance and admissions.

Qualifications

• RN, LLMSW, or LMSW license: current license in Michigan.
• Previous experience with psychiatric care preferred.
• Previous intake experience preferred.

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a beautiful and state of the art 81-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for an Intake Nurse/Social Worker position.

The position supports our team as a Temporary Assignment for 16 weeks on 12 hour shifts, with the possibility of extension for up to 6 months. As a temporary position this is not eligible for our benefit programs, because of this, we offer a premium pay rate of $60/hour. Current employees of UHS are not eligible for this program.

The Intake staff responds to requests for services and determines clinical appropriateness of each request. Information is normally obtained through initial clinical phone information, followed by clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and coordinates with the physician regarding patient care needs. The Intake staff will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. They also provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Full Time, 7pm to 7:30am, every other weekend rotation
