Mom's Meals | A Purfoods Company in Des Moines, IA area is seeking an Intake Manager to lead a team of Intake Specialists and Supervisors handling authorizations from Area Agencies on Aging, MCOs, and health plans for home-delivered meals.

This role requires strong leadership, experience driving efficiencies, and coordinating with a dedicated Call Center for ILOS, 1115, and PD/CC clients. Local candidates within 1–1.5 hours and the ability to work both remotely and in-office are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in health or related field.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive process improvements and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Intake Specialists and Supervisors handling authorizations from health plans and agencies.
• Track performance, complete reviews, and create reports for senior leadership.
• Train, motivate, and coach staff to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with care, sales, and revenue cycle teams.
• Lead weekly and monthly cross-functional meetings and maintain strong partner relationships.
