Job summary

MAHUBE-OTWA is seeking an Intake Navigator for our Head Start program to process calls and walk-ins, schedule appointments, and complete intakes and applications. You will provide client services and manage related paperwork to support families in the community.

This full-time, on-site role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma (or GED) plus technical/vocational certificate and 1–3 years related clerical experience.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and low-income programs.
• Ability to apply common sense in standardized situations.
• Effective oral and written communication with clients and staff.
• Good computer skills including email, Internet, data entry, and databases.
• Basic math and clerical skills.
• Strong independent initiative with limited supervision.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process phone calls and walk-ins, schedule appointments, and complete intakes.
• Process applications and related paperwork for Head Start clients.
• Provide services to clients and households and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team to support program operations and outreach.

MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting a service minded individual with a strong independent initiative and excellent computer skills to work as an Intake Navigator for our Head Start program. Your workdays will consist of processing phone calls and walk-ins, scheduling appointments, completing intakes, processing applications and other paperwork, as well as providing services to clients and households. Go home each day knowing you made a difference!

Eligible applicants will have strong organizational, clerical, data entry, computer and communication skills as well as the desire to work, and full-time availability. Experience in customer service, call center, sales support or service roles is desirable. Demonstrated skill in tact and diplomacy when dealing with the general public and staff is required. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a transforming environment is a must. Experience working with diverse cultures strongly preferred.

Pay: $22.35 - $23.10

Schedule: Non-exempt, Full Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday, Seasonal with three one-week layoffs during months of December, May, and July. Reduced summer hours, occasional evening and weekend work for outreach.

Requirements

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
