Job summary

Mainspring Recovery is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Nursing team in Dumfries, VA. The Intake Nurse will support admission processes for Residential, PHP/IOP, and related programs, with care coordination and clinical documentation across teams.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, EMR data entry, medication inventories, and collaborating on individualized care plans. Opportunities include shift differentials and ongoing professional nursing duties in a mission-driven

Qualifications

Valid Virginia RN or LPN license is required and must remain active.
Minimum of 6 months LPN clinical experience.
CPR certification is preferred and required on hire if not already obtained.
Mental health and residential substance use nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct intake assessments to obtain medical history and current concerns.
Record vital signs, medications, allergies, and other data in EMR.
Collaborate with providers and the care team on individualized plans.
Ensure patients have access to medications and supplies at admission.
Complete medication inventories and enter details into EMR.
Perform nursing assessments including COWS/CIWA and vital signs.
Monitor patient condition and respond to urgent care needs during admission.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation in EMR.
For Dumfries location, shuttle between facilities and perform daily urine drug screens.
