Job summary

Safe Space Residential is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support within our Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit (RCSU). The LPN will administer medications, monitor client health, document care, respond to medical concerns, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support client recovery and safety.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a behavioral health environment while promoting

Qualifications

• Current Virginia LPN license in good standing.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to recognize medical or psychiatric emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Behavioral health or crisis stabilization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor client health in the RCSU.
• Document care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Respond to medical concerns and ensure client safety.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor medication side effects.
• Assist with medical appointments and ensure compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, HIPAA, and Virginia Board of Nursing standards.
