Job summary

TURN Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Intake & Eligibility Coordinator in San Diego, CA. This regular part-time role (20-29 hrs) supports access to medical, educational, social, vocational, housing, and more to meet program goals and coordinate with health providers for whole-person care.

The position requires a Master's degree with CA BBS registration or license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC), a CA driver’s license, and preferred experience in mental health or substance use services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and CA BBS registration or license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC) required.
• Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, mental health evaluations, family-individual-group therapy, plan development, case consultation, crisis intervention, discharge placement, and assist clients in meeting basic needs and symptom management.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• Facilitate placement including pre-placement visits, and transportation as needed.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Provide field-based services as required by program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
• Conduct initial clinical assessments and eligibility screenings for prospective members.
• Complete annual assessment updates and maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
• Collaborate with members to identify strengths, goals, and support needs using a recovery-oriented approach.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with internal and external partners as appropriate.
