Job summary

Aurora Behavioral Health System in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Intake Counselor for night or day shifts. The role coordinates referrals, assesses level of care, and admits new patients, working with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate care.

Requirements include a Master's degree in social work or a related field, AZ licensure (LAC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LISAC/LAMFT/LMFT), and strong DSM-5 knowledge. Candidates must pass background and fingerprint checks; some positions require rotating

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or closely related field.
• Licensed in the state of Arizona and in good standing (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT)
• Strong working knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, community resources, assessment, and crisis intervention
• Experience in a behavioral healthcare hospital setting is a plus
• Must be 21 years old
• Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

Join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System. ABHS is a free-standing psychiatric inpatient hospital with an outpatient program. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Intake Counselor. NIGHT SHIFT. 8pm-6am/ DAY SHIFT 8am-6pm

Job Types: Full Time Night (NOC) Shift 8pm-6am Full Time (DAY) Shift 8am-6pm, 6am-4pm

Schedule:

NOC shift is a Four 10-hour shifts, Sunday – Wednesday every week 8pm-6am

DAY shift is a rotating 2-week schedule, four 10s and every other Saturday. This position is expected to complete precerts. Week 1: Tuesday Wednesday 8am-6pm Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 6am-4pm Week 2: will be Tuesday-Friday 8am-6pm.
