Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital is seeking a PRN Intake RN to join our team, working four 12-hour shifts per month, primarily evenings and weekends (7:30am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:30am). The ideal candidate will triage and assess patients with mental health or chemical dependency needs, ensuring medical stability for admissions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred; 1 year required.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Cedar Hills has an opportunity for a PRN Intake RN to join our team of great people! This position is required to work a total of four 12 hour shifts per month, primarily evenings and weekends. Shift hours are 7:30am- 7pm and 7pm -7:30am.We are looking for people who will be dedicated to serving our patients with a high quality of care. The ideal Intake RN will have demonstrated experience in the triage and assessment of potential patients with mental health and/or chemical dependency treatment needs. The Intake RN must possess the ability to assess the medical stability and appropriateness of the patient for admission to Cedar Hills Hospital and will have working knowledge of the functions of an Intake department.

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred, 1 year is required.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
