Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital is seeking a PRN Intake RN to join our behavioral health team. The role requires four 12-hour shifts per month, mainly evenings and weekends, with hours 7:30am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:30am.

The incumbent will triage and assess potential patients with mental health or chemical dependency needs. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a psychiatric facility (1 year required) and hold Oregon RN licensure, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3 years in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred; 1 year required.
• Licensure: Currently licensed as an RN by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

The ideal Intake RN will have demonstrated experience in the triage and assessment of potential patients with mental health and/or chemical dependency treatment needs. The Intake RN must possess the ability to assess the medical stability and appropriateness of the patient for admission to Cedar Hills Hospital and will have working knowledge of the functions of an Intake department.

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred, 1 year is required.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
