UChicago Medicine in the greater Chicagoland area is seeking an Intake Coordinator for the Digestive Disease clinic (DCAM). This 100% onsite role supports patients and physicians, coordinating services with hospital offices and staff to keep patient itineraries on track.
The position requires at least two years’ hospital experience, proficiency with Excel and Word, and the ability to analyze data while protecting patient confidentiality. Hours are days, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, onsite at DCAM.

You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. We provide care for all types of digestive conditions, from inflammatory bowel disease and liver disorders to esophageal, pancreatic and bile duct diseases, as well as all forms of gastrointestinal cancers. Our GI specialists offer exceptional care based in advanced, research-driven medicine for both common and rare GI conditions. Under general direction, serves as the first point-of-contact for patients and physicians to coordinate services with UCMC medical professionals, ancillary services, BSD, and hospital offices/staff. Provides administrative services, data analysis, and customer service to facilitate efficient and effective processes for patients to access various services within the hospital. Provides guidance to patients through the evaluation process, works with various departments to ensure patients complete their itineraries, revises and communicates itinerary changes as required.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
