The BridgeWay is seeking an Intake Coordinator to provide administrative support for the assessment team and manage the admissions process for patients seeking behavioral health services in Arkansas. You will receive referrals, verify information, and schedule assessments while collaborating with nursing and external clinicians.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with insurance verification or billing, and proficiency with hospital information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. At least 1 year experience with insurance verification/billing preferred.
• Licenses or Certifications: CPR and CPI; offered onsite.
• Excellent professional, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to assess patients’ physical, emotional and psychological needs during intake calls.
• Good knowledge of admitting and insurance verification.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, referral sources and staff.
• Knowledge of telephone etiquette.
• Interact with patients, physicians, families and hospital personnel professionally.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Work under stressful circumstances with frequent interruptions; multi-task and be detail oriented.
