Job summary

Willow Creek Behavioral Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Intake Coordinator to serve as the single entry point for admissions, coordinating pre-registration, insurance verification, and scheduling. You will collaborate with nursing, business office, and referrals to ensure a smooth patient flow.

This onsite role requires strong communication, crisis intervention when needed, and proficiency in documenting call activities and maintaining patient charts.

Qualifications

• One or more years' experience in healthcare admissions.
• Experience in mental health or substance use disorder settings preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Strong communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission screenings and schedules assessments.
• Provides coverage for the Call Center team during high volume.
• Verifies insurance upon intake and assists with pre-certifications as needed.
• Maintains admissions documentation and patient charts.
