Housing Works in New York is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage program referrals and support services for individuals re-entering the community. This role involves reviewing referrals, coordinating admissions, and collaborating with care teams to facilitate services.

Compensation Range: $23/hr - $26/hr commensurate with experience.
Benefits: We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from. Housing Works covers most of each plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff accrues PTO immediately for up to 30 days earned in the first year. An educational benefit is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and textbooks.
Overview: The Housing Works Emergency & Transitional Housing Program (ETH) provides time‑limited transitional housing and support services to individuals re‑entering the community following periods of incarceration or other justice system involvement. Program participants engage in a variety of onsite services, including case management, vocational training, housing advocacy, and mental health support that address barriers to accessing housing and help build skills for stable community living.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Intake Coordinator plays an integral role managing program referrals and coordinating admission. Activities include managing the program wait‑list, collaborating with internal and external referral partners, screening and reviewing referrals for eligibility and site placement, data entry and record keeping, and managing initial admission and enrollment. This position suits professionals with social services and data entry experience seeking to further develop skills in the reentry and housing sector.
