Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health in Dearborn, MI, is seeking an Intake Clinician for a full-time night shift (three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends) to obtain initial clinical information and coordinate admission decisions.

The Clinician schedules evaluations when appropriate, assists clients and families, and communicates treatment options, insurance details and admission procedures to referring sources. UHS provides generous benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• MSW with Michigan LMSW or Associates in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license.
• 1–3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtain initial clinical information by phone and coordinate with the on-call physician to determine admission level of care.
• Schedule clinical evaluations when appropriate for the client and assist families and referrals with next steps.
• Provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.
