Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS Facility, seeks an Intake Clinician for full-time day shifts to support inpatient and outpatient services. The role centers on gathering initial clinical information and coordinating admissions with on-call physicians, families and referral sources.

Qualifications

• MSW with Michigan LMSW (fully licensed) or Associates in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license.
• 1–3 years of mental health service experience, preferably in a psychiatric hospital.

Responsibilities

• Obtain initial clinical phone information and relay to the on-call physician for admission decisions.
• Schedule clinical evaluations when appropriate and coordinate with referral sources.
• Inform clients, families and referrals about treatment options, insurance and admission procedures.
