Bilingual Personal Injury Intake & Case Manager – Medical Funding

Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Intake & Case Manager to join a national healthcare and medical funding organization specializing in medical lien factoring for personal injury cases. This role works closely with patients, clinics, referral partners, and internal leadership to evaluate cases, assess risk and collectability, and support funding decisions.
The ideal candidate has a strong personal injury background and is comfortable handling client intake, reviewing medical and legal case details, understanding insurance coverage, and making sound risk-based recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Consult with patients injured due to the negligence of others to evaluate case risk and collectability
- Manage inbound leads and referral sources, responding promptly to calls and inquiries
- Review new and existing files for potential medical, legal, and funding concerns
- Partner with executive leadership to determine appropriate funding amounts based on underwriting considerations and case specifics
- Identify applicable case types and insurance coverage, including PIP, UM, and UIM
- Support billing efforts involving first-party and third-party claims, including self-represented matters
- Review Letters of Protection from new referral sources and new office openings
- Assist with unattached case processes and patient consultations
- Obtain bills and medical records from provider networks to support lien factoring purchases and confirm collectability
- Review billing records and medical documentation for accuracy and overall risk exposure
What You Bring
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Previous experience in personal injury case management, intake, pre-settlement funding, or a related legal or medical environment
- Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle and relevant insurance coverage
- Experience evaluating case strength, collectability, and funding risk
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, clinics, attorneys, referral sources, and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active files and priorities
- Detail-oriented approach with sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and risk awareness
