Job summary

Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide general and psychiatric nursing care to inpatients on a full-time basis (Wed-Fri, 7pm-7:30am). You will perform suicide assessments, develop patient-centered care plans, document according to standards, and support safety and well-being of each patient.

Current Nevada RN license and CPR certification are required; ADN/BSN or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN license required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Psychiatric or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and psychiatric nursing care to inpatients.
• Perform suicide assessments and follow suicide precautions.
• Document nursing care accurately per current standards and policies.

This position will be full time Wednesday-Friday 7pm-730am. The beautiful Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is growing... and we need more amazing Nurses to help guide our patients on their journey of recovery! As a Registered Nurse, deliver quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients who are hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders; Support the hospital and program philosophy of care and ensure the safety and well-being of each patient. Ability to perform suicide assessments and understands suicide precautions. Identify and incorporate each patient's unique needs into a comprehensive and individualized care plan. Accurate and litigable documentation that meets current standards and policies. Responds to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services. Through a systematic process of interaction with patients, the patient's significant others, and the appropriate health care providers, collects and analyzes data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural and anticipated discharge needs; determines patient's alcohol or drug toxicity; identifies signs of withdrawal; conducts screenings or assessments to determine needs of treatment. Documents physician's phone orders Maintains knowledge of legal guidelines pertaining to EMTALA/COBRA and abuse/neglect reporting. Education/Licensure: Current Nevada RN License required ADN / BSN or equivalent preferred Current CPR certification Sign on bonus available!
