Job summary

The Hemmat Law Group is seeking an Intake Attorney to join our growing family law practice. This role is non-traditional, focusing on consultations rather than caseloads and courtroom appearances, and may be hybrid or fully remote.

You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, helping them understand options, set expectations, and determine fit for representation while collaborating with the intake team to improve the client experience.

Qualifications

• Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar Association.
• 0-3 years of attorney experience preferred.
• Litigation experience preferred.
• Family law experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with prospective family law clients.
• Listen carefully to client concerns and identify key legal issues.
• Provide high-level legal guidance and set realistic expectations.
• Evaluate whether prospective matters are a good fit for the firm.
• Collaborate closely with the intake team throughout the consultation process.
• Assist with consult follow-up and conversion efforts.
• Help improve intake processes, consultation quality, and the overall client experience.
• Maintain detailed and accurate consultation records.
• Exercise sound judgment when escalating issues or referring matters to attorneys within the firm.
