The Assessment Coordinatoris theinitialcontact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs.The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counseloralsodeterminesappropriatelevel of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist todeterminedisposition. If Patient isadmittedto the hospital, the Counselor facilities the admission process and providesappropriate clinicalinformation for ongoing treatment.

The Assessment Coordinator also conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Programalso referred to as “IOP”.
