Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL seeks an Intake Counselor/Assessment Coordinator to manage intake and admission for inpatient and outpatient services, assess mental health status, and coordinate with referral sources. You will document all necessary information in Med Series 4 and communicate safety concerns to the team.

The role requires evaluating eligibility, liaising with families and patients, and supporting discharge planning within a collaborative psychiatric care

Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
• Registered Intern, preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Responds to telephone inquiries
• Knows CFBH programs and is able to answer general program information
• Determines initial clinical and financial eligibility
• Conducts psychosocial evaluation on each assigned admission, gathers data
• Coordinates with the treatment team, family and patients
• Asissts with discharge planning
