Job summary

Mercury Systems in Torrance, CA is seeking a QA/Metrology Administrator to calibrate and maintain the calibration system for equipment such as torque tools, oscilloscopes, RF antennas and force gauges. You will update inventory cycles, enforce FOE/FOD and ESD protocols, and coordinate with external calibration houses.

Responsibilities include creating PRs, requesting quotes, coordinating onsite calibration, supporting QA lab receiving, and generating inspection records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Typically requires 2+ years’ experience in Metrology administration, Mechanical and/or Electronics inspection.
  • Perform ESD verification on ESD monitors and mats.
  • Experience with mechanical inspection tools.
  • Must be detail oriented, have good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ISO-9001 and/or AS9100 experience.
  • Microsoft Office and Excel.

Job Summary

To administrate and maintain calibration system complying to AS9100 and ISO 17025 for equipment, such as torque tools, oscilloscopes, RF antennas, force gages, thread gages among others. Updating calibration system cycle inventory. Enforcing calibration, FOE/FOD, and ESD protocols. Request quotes from main calibration houses. Generating purchasing requisition, non-conforming equipment records in our Quality Applications and ERP System. Performing Quality Assurance related tasks in support of engineering and operations. incoming, in-process and final inspection. Reviewing supporting data, documentation and generating inspection records. Note: All equipment and tools are outsourced for calibration.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of electronics functioning.
  • Mechanical/ Electronics inspection experience.
  • Familiar with ISO 17025, INSI/NCSL Z540.1 or other metrology standards.
  • Experience with a Quality Application such as TIPQA and Oracle.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP System.

Salary Range
  • $38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
  • $42,900.00 - $85,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
  • $45,200.00 - $90,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
