Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a Full Time Insurance Verifier to join our onsite team in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on accurate insurance verification, patient data entry, and coordination with patients, physicians, and staff.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of hospital insurance verification experience, a high school diploma, and strong typing and computer skills (Word/Excel).

Qualifications

• Typing speed of 45 wpm is required.
• Basic computer skills with Word/Excel preferred.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Insurance Verifier at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

• This is an Onsite role at our Arlington Hospital. Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm.
• Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.
• Update patient demographics/information in system.
• Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization from insurance carrier.
• Determine what funds to collect upon admission.
• Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system.
• Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

• Minimum two years’ previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred
