CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative to initiate and document insurance notification, authorization, and reference numbers for patients across our facilities. You will obtain and document coverage and benefits using reports, web, or calls, and support the revenue cycle through payer-specific requirements and denial appeals.

Ideal candidates have meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and knowledge of insurance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsabilités

• Initiate and document insurance notification, authorization and reference numbers from insurance companies.
• Obtain and document insurance coverage and benefit information for patients in the Health Information System.
• Work daily reports to meet payer-specific requirements.
• Assist with appeals/denials.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Revenue Cycle Associates on insurance identification and authorization.
• Maintain patient/employee confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
