CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative in The Woodlands, TX. You will perform crucial pre-service support, verify patient insurance benefits, and document findings to ensure clear billing and reduce financial barriers to care.

Daily tasks include contacting payers to confirm coverage, identifying patient responsibilities, and coordinating with clinical staff to obtain charge information.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2-4 years healthcare experience, upon hire.

• Verify insurance coverage by telephone.
• Resolve any coverage issues and escalate complicated issues to manager.
• Interview patients and complete all paperwork necessary for efficient admitting and compliant with clinic/regulatory policies.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to obtain charge information for all patients.
• Code procedures performed and diagnosis on charge.
• Assign appropriate ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS codes to support service documentation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Insurance Verification Representative, you will provide critical pre-service support and meticulous verification of patient insurance benefits, ensuring financial clarity and a smooth patient experience.

Every day you will expertly contact insurance payers, confirm coverage details, identify patient responsibilities, and meticulously document all findings to facilitate accurate billing and address potential financial barriers to care.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a persistent, customer-focused demeanor, contributing significantly to revenue integrity and informed patient access.

• Ensure insurance coverage by telephone.
• Resolve any issues with coverage and escalates complicated issues to manager.
• Interview patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to obtain charge information for all patients.
• Code procedures performed and diagnosis on charge.
