Summit Spine and Joint Centers in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to support our fast-paced practice. Under supervision, you will verify insurance eligibility, review deductibles and copays, and update the EMR with patient responsibilities for both new and follow-up visits.

You will collaborate across departments, assist front-end and call center staff, and address patient questions about insurance benefits.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office performing insurance verifications required.
• Experience using eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective relationships with internal and external customers to achieve goals.

Responsabilidades

• Verify insurance eligibility for upcoming appointments by contacting carriers or using online portals.
• Review patient deductibles and copays and enter data into billing systems and spreadsheets.
• Coordinate with front-end regarding scheduling errors and assist front-end staff.
• Explain specialist visit benefits to patients and address insurance-related questions.
• Maintain patient demographic information and data collection in the EMR.
• Obtain PCP referrals if required by insurance for specialist treatment.
