Actalent is seeking an Insurance Verification Coordinator in Houston, TX, to verify eligibility, process prior authorizations, and support patients, providers, and payors. You will document interactions, determine financial responsibility, and coordinate benefits for accurate billing.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle a high-volume queue while maintaining quality.

Qualificações

• 1 year of medical billing or insurance verification experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
• Hands-on experience obtaining insurance benefits from health plans and communicating them to patients.
• Experience submitting prior authorizations to payors with required documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for services and medications.
• Perform prior authorizations and gather necessary documentation.
• Collect and record clinical information to support coverage decisions.
• Determine patient financial responsibility (copays, coinsurance, deductibles).
• Coordinate benefits for referrals to ensure correct billing.
• Communicate with insurers about therapies, coverage, and claims.
• Document all communications with patients, physicians, and payors.
• Identify and coordinate patient financial assistance resources.
• Handle high-volume referrals with accuracy and timeliness.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics and maintain reliability.
