Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access professional to verify insurance, collect data, and ensure accurate records at the point of care. You will work with physicians, patients, and payers to support timely admissions and billing processes.

With at least a high school diploma and one year in reception or customer service, you will join a team committed to compassionate, high‑quality healthcare in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HR may accept related experience in lieu of education.
• Preferred: Associate degree in medical terminology or health care management.
• Required: One year of experience in reception, customer service, and/or record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all patients receiving services at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital have been assigned the correct insurance plan, policy number, and authorization number.
• Utilizes excellent customer service skills when working with physician offices, third party payers, and patients.
• Communicates financial and insurance information to Case Management, Utilization Management, and Financial Counseling staff members (when appropriate).
• Performs these functions in accordance with the facility's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
