Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a senior software engineering professional to drive large-scale migration, conversion, and modernization for a major insurance client. You will analyze business needs, define requirements, and design robust solutions aligned with digital transformation goals.

Requires deep life insurance knowledge (Universal Life, Traditional Life) and mainframe experience (COBOL/JCL/DB2). You will lead complex conversions, ensure seamless integrations, and mentor teams in delivery best

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience, with 2+ years in a similar software engineering role
Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies
Strong programming and debugging skills
Some leadership or mentoring experience
Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role
Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

Support a team of software engineers in development of software products and solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements
Assist in mentoring team members through regular feedback and coaching
Contribute to software engineering strategy and technology assessments
Manage project tasks and plan work to meet goals
Monitor timelines, resources, and budgets for efficient execution
Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues
Promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
