Job summary

AgWest Farm Credit seeks an Insurance Specialist I or II to join the Washington Lending and Insurance team in Wenatchee or Moses Lake. This full-time role supports customers with insurance products and services, reporting to the Insurance Agent II, AVP.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in insurance or office functions, strong data skills, and are ready to obtain the required state license within six months. Relocation assistance offered for eligible candidates relocating to the area.

• Ability to input and maintain accurate data across multiple systems while ensuring data integrity.

We are in search of an Insurance Specialist I or Insurance Specialist II to join our Washington Lending and Insurance department in Wenatchee or Moses Lake. This full‑time position reports to the Insurance Agent II, AVP and assists with providing high quality, profitable and constructive insurance products and related services to customers.

Compensation Information

Moses Lake, Washington

• Level I: Typical starting range: $40,000 – $51,900. Full base salary range: $40,000 – $57,800. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.
• Level II: Typical starting range: $44,200 – $58,900. Full base salary range: $44,200 – $66,200. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.

Wenatchee, Washington

• Level I: Typical starting range: $44,200 – $57,500. Full base salary range: $44,200 – $64,200. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.
• Level II: Typical starting range: $48,400 – $64,500. Full base salary range: $48,400 – $72,600. Annual performance‑based incentive target is 6% of base.

Relocation assistance will be provided to eligible candidates who must relocate to accept this position.

Essential Duties

• Gather customer/applicant information and other supporting data in person, by phone, or in writing to complete required applications, documents or reports.
• Accurately key and adjust verified customer information for review and action by agent or others.
• Monitor follow‑up requirements in assigned areas.
• Comply with appropriate regulations and procedures in the completion of applications, forms, documents and reports.
• Perform clerical duties such as typing correspondence and documents, establishing and maintaining files, verbally answering the telephone and taking messages as required.
• Assist in maintaining a high degree of data integrity by maintaining accurate databases.
• Maintain industry knowledge through ongoing crop insurance educational training/seminars.
• Ensure media inquiries and requests are referred to appropriate staff.
• Adhere to appropriate counterparty and vendor management protocols as described in company procedures.
• Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

• AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all‑staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role.

Minimum Qualifications

• Generally, requires two or more years of related work experience in insurance or general office functions.
• Ability to input and maintain accurate data across multiple systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Understanding of agriculture and insurance services.
• Strong administrative and customer service skills.
• Ability to build relationships and work with customers, outside parties and colleagues.
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Solid computer skills including MS Office applications.
• Ability to read, write and present general business information.
• Appropriate State Insurance Agent license(s) must be obtained within six months of assuming the role.
• AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all‑staff or team meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional working Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.
