ArchKey Solutions in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Insurance Risk Mgmt Specialist to support daily risk management and insurance functions on large projects.

This role collaborates with leadership, project teams, and brokers to ensure compliance and manage risk effectively. The position involves reviewing contracts and certificates of insurance, coordinating CIP enrollments, renewals, and audits, and producing detailed risk reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in risk management, insurance or surety, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in risk management, insurance, surety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience handling confidential and proprietary information with integrity.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to leadership in risk management activities.
• Review contracts for Risk Management issues and compliance.
• Review and approve subcontractor pre-qualifications.
• Review subcontractor certificates of insurance for compliance and coordinate enrollment.
• Coordinate underwriting information for insurance renewals and annual audits.
• Perform CIP enrollments, payroll reporting and close out tasks.
• Administer the surety bond program with the broker.
• Generate reports on Risk Management metrics for executives.
• Interact with senior leaders and project teams on risk management issues.

About This Position

Responsible for assisting with daily operations of the risk management and insurance functions and providing support of major project pre-qualifications. This position provides support associated with Controlled Insurance Programs (CIPs), management of the Company’s surety bond program, and other functions of varying complexity within Risk Management, all in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.

Day in the life

• Provides support to leadership in the risk management as needed.
• Assist in reviewing contracts for Risk Management issues and compliance.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor pre-qualifications.
• Reviews subcontractor certificates of insurance for compliance, and coordinates enrollment of subcontractors.
• Coordinates and collects underwriting information for insurance renewals and annual audits.
• Performs functions associated with CIP enrollments, payroll reporting, and close out.
• Administers the surety bond program directly with surety broker.
• Generates detailed and organized reports on various Risk Management metrics for publication to executives and other senior leaders.
• Interacts with senior leadership, project management team members and business development professionals to understand project components and advise on risk management issues.
• Assists with pre-qualifications for national projects as requested. Maintains up-to-date pertinent information used to populate national project pre-qualifications.
• Creates and maintains professional relationships and technical knowledge by establishing solid networks and communicating well with co-workers, customers, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, office staff and field personnel.
• Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
• Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in risk management, insurance or surety (brokerage or carrier), or a related field. Professional certification in insurance or risk management, such as ARM, CRM, CPCU, or CIC is preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in risk management, insurance, surety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software applications.
• Experience working closely with confidential and proprietary information and maintaining integrity of conversations and data where needed.
• Strong professional team player, with effective collaboration, organizational and relationship- building skills. Demonstrated elevated level of integrity and dependability.
• Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities independently and effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent written communication
