Job summary

26North is seeking a Principal / Vice President, Insurance Solutions and Structuring to design and execute insurance-eligible investment structures for insurance clients. You will lead structuring end-to-end, coordinating rating agencies and internal teams across Private Equity, Private Credit and Direct Lending.

You will translate regulatory capital frameworks into tailored solutions, manage relationships with rating agencies, and help grow 26North's insurance-related assets under management.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field; CFA, FRM or CAIA a plus.
• 6–12 years of experience in insurance solutions, structured finance or insurance-focused asset management.
• Demonstrated experience structuring and executing rated feeders, CFOs, rated private placements or similar structures.
• Strong knowledge of rating agency methodologies and managing rating agency processes.
• Working knowledge of insurance regulatory capital frameworks (NAIC, Solvency II/UK, Matching Adjustment).
• Solid understanding of credit and structured products across asset classes; cash flow modeling proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex concepts for senior audiences.
• Strong ownership mindset; ability to lead multiple workstreams and deliver under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute insurance-structured investments including rated note feeders, CFOs and rated private placements.
• Lead structuring transactions end to end, coordinating rating agencies, external counsel, banking partners and internal stakeholders.
• Structure capital-efficient solutions across asset classes to support insurance clients.
• Advise on insurance regulatory capital treatment and monitor developments.
• Translate insurer requirements into tailored investment solutions and lead diligence and closing.
• Develop insurance-oriented investment products and scalable structuring frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align structures with portfolio construction and investor objectives.
