Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Insurance Account Manager to build and maintain client relationships with insurers and agency staff in California. You will assess client needs, design coverage solutions, and negotiate with carriers for optimal plans, while marketing the business to new and renewal carriers.

Ideal candidates have a degree or substantial experience, agency background, active state license, and relevant designations; proficiency in MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 10 years’ work-related experience.
• Prefer some experience in an agency environment.
• Active state insurance license required.
• Professional designations such as ARM, CPCU, CRM or CIC a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional relationships with clients, insurance companies, and agency personnel to manage accounts.
• Assess client needs, design solutions, and negotiate with carriers for appropriate coverage.
• Market client business to various insurance carriers, including new and renewal business.
• Identify carriers, submit applications for quotes, negotiate terms, and prepare proposals.
• Stay current on industry news, products, and technology.
