Job summary

American Family Insurance in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced service specialist to be the first point of contact for quotes, policy and billing queries, and account information. You will interact with agents and staff to provide carrier guidance and processing support.

Responsibilities include preparing coverage and financing quotes, issuing certificates, and escalating complex issues to experts. A Property and Casualty license is required; travel up to 5% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-driven solutions experience.
• Proficiency with PC software (MS Office, Outlook, Excel).
• Insurance/brokerage customer service or policy processing experience.
• Knowledge of state insurance regulations and processing.
• Underwriting, servicing or billing guidelines knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Property and Casualty producer license for resident state required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for quoting, binding support, inquiries, and billing.
• Assist agents with carrier information and procedures.
• Prepare and release coverage and premium financing quotes.
• Process policy information and issue certificates; ensure accuracy.
• Order inspections and escalate complex issues to experts.
• Develop standard work processes and mentor teammates.
• Fulfill additional assignments or projects as needed.
