Job summary

Alfa Insurance sales representatives are team players that take exceptional pride in the company they represent, the products they sell and in providing excellent customer service. They assist the agent in performing sales and clerical function necessary to write and service our existing customers as well as striving to increase business.

Many Alfa insurance agents are independent contractors. These agents are not employees of Alfa Insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to obtain Insurance Producer license within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs quickly.
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new business in multi-line insurance, quote and bind policies, handle inquiries, document requests and process changes.
• Provide service with strong communication across platforms, resolve conflicts, learn new computer programs, adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Support the agent and service center staff as needed.
• Decide applicant insurability and placement using binding and processing skills.
• Ensure effective service center operations including reports, documentation, and mail distribution.
