Job summary

Alfa Insurance - Philip Pulliam Agency is seeking sales representatives who take pride in representing the company, the products, and providing excellent customer service. You will assist the agent with sales and clerical tasks to service existing customers and grow the book of business.

Most agents are independent contractors; those employed by the agency will be employees of the agent, not Alfa Insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to attain Insurance Producer license within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn new programs and procedures.
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
• General Sales Experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new business in multi-line insurance; quote and bind policies; handle inquiries; document requests and changes; process premiums.
• Provide service to customers with strong communication across multiple platforms; resolve conflicts; learn new computer programs quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide support to the agent and service center staff as needed.
• Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement; bind and process applications.
• Ensure effective operation of the service center including reports, documentation, and mail distribution.
